Meet Brian Patrick Murphy: Executive Producer | Creative Executive | Director | Storyteller

I'm an Executive Producer, Director, and Creative Executive with over 20 years of experience developing and running premium unscripted and documentary television. I've built shows from the ground up, led large creative teams, and worked across nearly every major network and streamer in the business — from the earliest conversations about a story to the moment it reaches an audience.
My credits include some of nonfiction television's most distinctive series, including MTV's Catfish, Netflix's Chelsea Does, FX's A Wilderness of Error, and The Pathway, a premium sports documentary for TNT and NBA Entertainment. Most recently I served as Showrunner and Director of a highly publicized documentary about the Price Is Right for E!
Before that, I spent four years at Film 45 as Executive Producer, leading documentary content for Bezos Earth Fund, Blue Origin, and Amazon across 60+ projects and managing large creative teams. Sports storytelling was a consistent thread throughout, with premium work spanning the NBA, NFL, and BIG3.
I'm drawn to stories that reflect the rich tapestry of our shared experiences. The kind that feel like they couldn't have been told any other way. Over the course of my career I've worked in culture, sports, true crime, comedy, and branded content — but the through-line has always been the same: find the real story underneath the obvious one, and build a team that can bring it to life.
